This course aims to deepen students' understanding of a range of topics related to SLA (second language acquisition) and educational research through in-depth exploration via lectures, articles, videos, and project work.

Students will extend their knowledge of SLA-related topics and educational research. To maximise personalisation, SLA topics will be determined through instructor-student negotiation at the start of the course. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of these topics through four projects:
1: A systematic literature review (i.e. an article)
2: A student-led lecture and guided discussion
3: An academic presentation (based on their own empirical research)
4: A written report (related to research methods) and guided discussion
